India – Bharatpur and Chambal River
On this tour, we visit three separate areas south of Delhi. As with all tours, we have taken great care to choose our places of accommodation and all are very comfortable and provide really nice food together with a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Our first stip is close to the Chambal River, where we will spend three nights. We will stay in a beautiful accommodation and we expect a fantastic bird life surrounding the lodge and on the Chambal River. We will take a river trip, visit the Sarus Crane Conservation Centre and its surrounding wetlands, take walks around the fields close to our lodge and we offer the option for a day’s excursion to Agra where you can visit the Red Fort and the Taj Mahal.
From the Chambal River we will make our way to our next destination, the famous bird sanctuary of Bharatpur. Here we will see one of India’s great natural spectacles, with hundreds of Herons, Egrets and Storks breeding colonially. Here we can observe nature from the comfort of our Rickshaw, a boat trip and for those with a sense of purpose you can even hire a bicycle!
Our third stop is Ranthambore National Park. Being considered as one of the famous and former hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur, today the Ranthambore National Park terrain is major wildlife tourist attraction spot that has pulled the attention of many wildlife photographers and lovers in this destination. We have planned to do game drives in the morning and stay on the outskirts of the National Park in the afternoons because those give excellent birding opportunitiesThe Indian sub-continent embraces an enormous range of habitats extending from the spectacular peaks of the Himalayas in the north, through forests, lakes and deserts to the moist hills in the south of the country where the shoreline is caressed by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. Whatever your passion, be it for mammals (350 species), reptiles/amphibians (600 species) or birds (1300 species), then India has them all. Not to mention huge varieties of both plant and insect!
Visit Agra with its famous Taj Mahal. For those who never before have visited India, a visit to Agra might be a must. On day 5 you can make the choice. The extra costs will depend on the number of participants
Reserving your place is both easy and inexpensive!
